here we are!

greetings & welcome! 

this blog came together when two best friends wanted a place to collaborate their ideas 

and share them with the world.  

we hope you'll join us and find our resources helpful.

both mamas to toddlers,

we find ourselves drifting back to our same favorite blogs over and over and over... 

and though these blogs are beautiful and inspiring...

they leave us feeling inferior and sometimes just kinda down.

are we not doing enough? 

do these people just have more hours in the day?

is there a hidden nanny & cleaning lady in the wings?

we felt like something was missing out there.  

imagine that!?!?

and so we created hens & chicks.

see, on top of having boys, 

we are also working mamas.

 we feel our days can be limited and we want our time with our families to be quality.
but what does that exactly mean?
it's the journey we hope you'll follow and share in our research of cool and inventive activities.

even a loose one.
a theme to get the ball rolling and see where it takes us.

i try to look into the world and find activities to put my own spin on.
i also work at a library so i have lots of resources right around me!

(kelly) is the the nature competent to the blog....

she is the inspiration to get out in all types of weather.

and she'll always find what is hiding in the garden.
